Lean on the balcony railing and the ridges step away in hazy layers, with a pine to the left and a string of star lights hung across the top. The same hills show through the windows on two sides of the bed.
The bed has a blue cover, a pile of bright cushions and a small shelf at the head. A wooden door from the room opens straight onto the balcony. In the corner is a little wooden table with two chairs, set beside a window that opens outward. The house has two storeys of red-roofed rooms with balconies, in among tall pines.
